Using The Grand Piano With A RezBox

The H Series Grand Pianos are no-mod, but you can still use them with a rez-box.  Here is how.

  • Included in the box is an item named OD>> Grand Piano Positioner.  Rez that on the ground.
  • Rez a piano close to the positioner.   After a few seconds the piano will snap to the position of the positioner.
  • Move and spin the positioner.  The piano will keep following it.
  • The piano is no-mod.. but the positioner IS mod.

Packing up your scene.

  • Build your stage/scene with the positioner rezzed and controlling the location of the piano.
  • When you pack up the scene in your rez box, put the rez script into the positioner, and pack the positioner into the rezbox normally.
  • Also pack the piano into the rezbox.  You will not be able to put the rez script into the piano because it is no mod.  That doesn't matter.
  • When you rez the scene from the box, the rezbox will locate the piano positioner as expected.  The piano itself will follow the positioner.  Voila.   rez-box ability with no-mod items.
  • The positioner is mod, so you can make it transparent or delete it once the piano snaps into position.
